To serve with heart and might

Sharing our lives with the people surrounding us. For the past seven years we lived this way in order to make God visible to others, our God who made Himself visible by entering into our world and sharing His life. Living at Taste!, our missional community in the city of Delft, we experienced Gods blessing time and again. Neighbours getting involved in our lives and thereby tasting and seeing that the Lord is good (Psalm 34). We lived a regular life, just sharing it and our God given talents with others. Because only together we represent Gods Body on earth (1 Corinthians 12) and only together we are able to fully comprehend His love (Ephesians 3:18).

Doordat wij er gewoon zijn, dichtbij, de relatie aangaan, serving with heart and might.

How special to know these words are actually part of the Nigerian national anthem. We are looking forward to sing this with the Nigerians. Together. Because they will be serving us as much as we will serve them. Because we are involved in each other's lives and learn from each other. Because only together we are able to truly understand Gods love.

As also stated in this (Dutch translation of an English) song:

I was made to praise You
I was made to glorify Your name
In every circumstance
To find a chance to thank You
I was made to praise You
I was made to worship at Your feet
And to obey You Lord
I was made for You

You are my destination
You adopted me as your child to
in every circumstance
radiate your love
I was made to praise you
to serve with might and heart
and to obey you lord
I was made for You
